Dr. Jari Talvinen, partner

Jari is a seasoned professional with an extensive +30 years background in business development, consulting and sales from global companies like IBM, Ericsson, PWC, Nokia; and working withSMEs and as entrepreneur and investor – in Europe and in Asia. He has helped various companies from different industries to successfully raise funds, establish and grow business in the Europe and/or Southeast Asia.

At CapMan, the leading Nordic private equity company, he was responsible as a partner for the full life cycle of investment project management from sourcing, financial modelling and business case development to exit. Jari has continued his CapMan career as being an Advisor for Southeast Asian for CapMan.

He has also worked in the academia or close to that with significant merits: for the Helsinki School of Economics as Professor of Information Systems Science, Department of Management;  and for Aalto University Executive Education as Head of Asia Pacific Region, Managing Director based in Singapore – he executed business turnaround expanding the education & training business from Singapore to Indonesia, Taiwan and mainland China.

Jari has been living + 7 years in Singapore with India and Indonesia as prior locations in Asia.

Mikko Silventola, partner

Chairman of Frontier and Co-Founder of Koukoi Games, Tech seed investor in 50+ companies, based in Singapore.

Mikko is the Chairman of the Board and Partner of Frontier (www.frontiernordic.vc) and Koukoi Games. In addition he is the founder of Calcus Group (exit 2014), Content Group International (exit 2018) and TAEL Group (exit 2014).

Mikko has founded three international media companies which in total have generated over 30 MEUR in sales over just a few years. 

Calcus Group has offices in Helsinki, Dubai, Singapore, Stockholm and Oslo. I have worked as a Managing Director at Calcus Group from 2007 to 2012 and as a Chairman from 2012 to 2014.

Mikko has a solid track record in internationalization of the companies in Europe, Middle East and the Southeast Asia. He has also operated in the private equity sector focusing on advising early stage companies, angel investing, M&A advisory and fundraising. Tech seed investor in 50+ companies.
